Aromas of prune and bitter cherry liqueur with some sweet spices help to lift the nose, some nutmeg and black pepper give it a spicy warming edge. The palate is very smooth and fruity, but not too sweet.
Offer £22.50 NOW £18.50 Pale yellow in colour with a very reserved nose. The palate is dominated by minerals, with citrus and floral aromas to balance out the minerality, with some melon and crimson apple and lemon peel to compliment the minerals. Also showing good acidity.
A wonderful Bordeaux Blanc, with peach, pear and citrus fruit, and a saline finish. Great depth, concentrated and well-balanced. A stylish wine with a touch of mint at the lengthy mineral finish.
A high quality everyday claret from the former owner of Cheval Blanc. Dark ruby colour with an aromatic nose offering black fruit and a touch of herbs with spices. The palate has round tannins, ripe dark berries, great acidity and structure with a hint of spice and chocolate on the finish.
Soft and juicy with ripe summer fruit flavours. On the nose, a real explosion of red fruit flavours such as cherry and raspberry. The wine in the mouth is greedy and leaves us the impression of having freshly crushed a grape.
After ageing for 18 years in casks, intense aromas of plums are to be found as well as rhubarb pie, quince jelly and vanilla, all subdued by a dominant bouquet of oak. This Calvados is very voluminous and spicy, with a long, pleasant finish with tones of smoke and aromatic nut.
