Blackcurrants from the Alsace are luscious and strongly aromatic, creating a really powerful flavour of dense, sweet blackcurrants. This double crème de cassis, made from an infusion of berries in blackcurrant brandy, is then reduced to 20% abv with water from their own Vosges mountain spring. This water has passed through a schist bedrock and is of great purity and clarity, evident in the end result. Located in Alsace in the heart of the Val de Villé, Nusbaumer aims to express the richness of its terroir, delicious in a Kir or on ice and tastes stronger than the fresh fruit.
