Claxton’s Bruichladdich Single Malt 2002, Islay, Scotland

A single cask bottling of Bruichladdich single malt from Claxton's. Distilled in 2002 and left to sleep in a sherry puncheon for 16 years. Amazing yummy stuff! A nose of old leather, hazelnuts, cedar and sultanas from the wood.  The spirit shines with orange blossom and rosey apples. The palate is full-bodied and buttery.  Toffee apples, pear drops, candied orange peel, dried pineapple cloves, fresh coffee and a touch of rosewater. The finish is endlessly long with bitter toffee, pipe tobacco, cherries, cocoa powder and coconut shavings.
