Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms of sale carefully before placing your order and retain a copy of these terms and your order for future reference.

Ordering:

1.1 By submitting and order you are confirming that you are over 18 years of age.

1.3 We can cater for orders of single bottles, cases and mixed cases to both private and trade customers.

1.4 Free wine planning service allowing you to taste and then select the wine. Wine sold on these occasions is done so with sale on return only when specifically agreed.

Delivery:

2.1 Free delivery on all phone orders within the Yorkshire region (minimum of 6 bottles).

2.2 Free delivery on all phone orders over £250 anywhere in the UK (excl N.Ireland and some areas of Scotland – please call for delivery charge to this area)

2.3 Delivery shall be made to the address agreed between ourselves and you the buyer. In the event we are asked to leave the wines without a signature, the risk of damage or loss passes to the purchaser.

2.4 Any dates quoted for delivery of the goods are approximate only. We will make every effort to meet the customer’s requirements.

2.5 Please ensure you check your delivery upon receipt. Any inaccuracy in the delivery in either content or if anything is broken, Yorkshire Vintners must be notified immediately.

Prices and payment:

3.1 All prices in the wine list are exclusive of VAT

3.2 Payment is due on invoice except approved trade accounts.

3.3 Credit may be granted to approved trade accounts and this may be reviewed at any time at Yorkshire Vintner’s discretion. Please contact Mr Simon Jackson for a credit application.

3.4 Yorkshire Vintners reserves the right to refuse an order if the arrangements for payment are not satisfactory or the buyer’s credit rating is below the required.

3.5 Payment can be made by major credit or debit card, direct debit, or by direct electronic transfer (bank details available on request) Yorkshire Vintners may refuse to accept cash payments.

Returns:

4.1 If any wines are found to be faulty Yorkshire Vintners will replace or issue credit for the wine provided that the wine is returned to Yorkshire Vintners within a reasonable time frame.

4.2 Claims for breakages can only be accepted if the customer notifies Yorkshire Vintners at the point of delivery.

Substitutions:

5.1 In the event of a wine being temporarily out of stock Yorkshire Vintners will offer an alternative of equal value which you can accept or decline.
